What is approval?
Approval (or certification as it is also known) is independent third party confirmation that products and systems meet and continue to meet appropriate standards.
It is different from just doing a test, which is basically a snapshot showing that a product passed a test on a given day. It is also significantly different to CE marking which is not a quality mark, but a manufacturers declaration that a product meets the essential requirements for Europe. BRE believes the marks stand for something special - they are true 'quality marks' which are recognised across the world. |
